This farm, Quinta do Mato, is in the family since 1683, construction date of the house and cellar. From then, until the mid twentieth century, the farm produced vegetables, cattle and wine. In the 80s, after some uncertainty about the fate of Quinta do Mato, the dedication only to grape production was a natural result of the characteristics of the farm.

After 20 years of dedication to grape production, Miguel Queimado, great-great-grandson of Leopoldo Alves de Sousa, give back to life this farm engaging in the production of wine.
